The label above the dial follows the usual classical bands: Grave under 45, Largo, Adagio, Andante, Moderato, Allegro from 120, Vivace, Presto and Prestissimo from 200. They are names, not rules. A hip-hop beat at 84 BPM is not "Adagio" in feel even when the math lands there.

FAQ
Metronome questions
Can I open a specific BPM?
Yes. A link such as /metronome/?bpm=128 starts the dial at 128. The canonical page stays this one, so those links are not separate search pages. Dedicated tempo pages with delay tables live under the BPM reference.
What is the accent?
Beat one of the bar is louder and a different color, so you can hear the downbeat without counting out loud. Turn it off when you want a plain click.
How loud should I listen?
Keep the click at a conversation level. These pages can generate steady tones and noise, which fatigue your ears faster than music. If anything rings or feels uncomfortable, stop and turn the volume down.
